This ride on Hawke’s Bay Trails starts from Napier City. There are many places to park a vehicle by the trail. You pass Napier Port, Ahuriri’s cafés and bars, and head under bridges via the upper Ahuriri estuary to Taradale. This loop passes a few popular urban wineries, then swings back to the sea, along Marine Parade and past parks, gardens and numerous fun attractions for the kids.

If you can only do one ride here in Hawke’s Bay and have 2-4hrs spare this gives you a taste of our trails – city life, port and estuary, wetlands, river views, ocean side trails and of course a few excellent wineries.
